Presenting Your Project: The 90-Second Pitch
A simple structure for slides and pitches that works for IFGIC, GIFT, and your dashboard video.
Whether you're presenting at GIFT, IFGIC, or recording your dashboard video, the same structure works: people remember stories, not features. It has five beats and fits in 90 seconds.
Step 1 of 4
Learn the five beats
- The person — "Meet my grandmother. She loves gardening, but her hands hurt too much to use a trowel."
- The problem — one sentence about why this matters, and to how many people.
- The invention — what you built, shown not described. A photo or a 10-second demo beats three slides of text.
- The proof — what happened when a real person tried it. One honest number or quote: "She gardened for 40 minutes without pain."
- The next step — what you'd do with more time, materials, or help. This is what the next steps box on your project page is for!
